No Tae-moon, President of Samsung Electronics' Wireless Business Division, defined the rapidly changing situation after the global pandemic as the "next normal" and revealed his response strategy accordingly. He emphasized the special significance of the August Unpacked event amid the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). On the 21st, in a contribution to Samsung Newsroom, President No said, "On August 5th, at 'Galaxy Unpacked,' we will take a step closer to the vision of innovating the mobile experience with five new products." This is his second contribution since being appointed head of the Wireless Business Division in January.
Emphasizing the Three Principles of the 'Next Normal' Ahead of August 5th Unpacked
President No identified three principles to prepare for the next normal era: ▲meaningful innovation ▲openness and collaboration ▲operational agility. As the role of technology becomes more important, he emphasized continuing "mobile innovation" through cooperation with global companies and efficient work processes. President No mentioned examples of collaboration with global companies, saying, "We are stronger together than alone. Over the past few months, I have deeply felt the importance of collaboration more than ever." In fact, Samsung Electronics expanded convenience in video calls and foldables through cooperation with Google, and through a partnership with Microsoft, enabled real-time sharing of messages, photos, and schedules between Galaxy phones and Windows PCs. He added, "Our collaboration with Microsoft will also expand into the Xbox gaming field."
