Expanded Executive Meeting of the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 20th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Hong Nam-ki stated, "As a fundamental measure to stabilize the housing market, related ministries and agencies will work as one team to prepare a plan to expand housing supply as quickly as possible by the end of July."
On the afternoon of the 20th, Deputy Prime Minister Hong held an expanded executive meeting of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance at the Government Complex Sejong to discuss real estate measures. At the meeting, Hong said, "We will strive to have legislation related to real estate measures processed as a package within July to minimize market uncertainty."
Regarding the real estate market situation, he said, "It is still too early to evaluate," but emphasized that "the recent housing price increase rate has slightly slowed down." He added, "We will continue to closely monitor housing and monthly rent prices going forward."
