Suncheon City Supports Masks for City Bus and Taxi Drivers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) announced that it has distributed masks to about 1,590 transportation workers to ensure that city bus and taxi drivers always wear masks while operating, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 local infections.
Transportation workers who must wear masks daily usually receive them from their transportation companies or purchase them themselves, but this distribution was made to ease that burden even a little.
Additionally, Suncheon City plans to produce mask-wearing reminder stickers and attach them to all city buses, taxis, and bus stops to firmly establish the mandatory mask-wearing policy on public transportation and do its best to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
