Seodaemun-gu Holds 'Women Safety Academy' to Prevent Violence Against Women
On the 21st and 30th, Female Scholar Professor Kwon Kim Hyun-young and Criminal Psychologist Professor Lee Soo-jung to Give Lectures
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is creating a platform to foster consensus on preventing violence against women and to enhance community safety.
The district will hold the "Women’s Safety Academy," organized by the "Seodaemun-gu Women-Friendly City Creation Council," on the 21st and 30th of this month from 4 PM to 6 PM in the large conference room on the 3rd floor of the district office.
On the first day, feminist scholar Professor Kwon Kim Hyun-young will give a lecture titled "Feminism’s Response to an Era of Violence," and on the second day, criminal psychologist Professor Lee Soo-jung will lecture on "Community Safety, a Collective Effort by All of Us."
To comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, only 30 residents who pre-register for each lecture can attend in person. The lectures will also be live-streamed via KakaoTV, and those who request in advance will receive a link 30 minutes before the session to watch the lecture online.
