Fire at Nantes Cathedral in France "Flames Contained"

Major foreign media reported that around 8 a.m., a fire was reported at the cathedral, and 100 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. The fire authorities announced that the flames were brought under control around 10 a.m. The fire completely destroyed the grand organ inside the cathedral, and the stained glass windows near the main entrance were broken. It is reported that about 100 firefighters were involved in managing the fire scene.

Completed in 1891, Nantes Cathedral is a building in the traditional Gothic architectural style and was designated as a historic monument in 1862. Previously, in 1972, a fire broke out during welding work, completely destroying the roof. It took 13 years to restore the damage caused by that fire.
