Daegu City Selects 160 People for Distribution of Assistive ICT Devices for Disabled
Distribution of 23 Types of Visual Assistive ICT Devices, 7 Types for Physical and Brain Lesions, and 18 Types for Hearing and Speech
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 18th that it will select 160 disabled persons who have difficulty accessing and using information and communication, and distribute information and communication assistive devices starting from the 20th.
The distributed products include 23 types such as reading magnifiers and braille information terminals for the visually impaired, 7 types such as touch monitors for physically disabled and brain lesion disabled persons, and 18 types such as video phones for the hearing and speech impaired.
The support targets are disabled persons whose registered address is in Daegu City or national veterans who have been certified with a disability grade. Among the 531 applicants who applied for support from May 1 to June 19, 160 were selected after screening for economic conditions and other factors.
The list of selected individuals can be checked on the Daegu City website. The recipients must pay a personal contribution fee corresponding to 10% to 20% of the product price by the 31st. The distribution of devices will be carried out after confirming the payment of the personal contribution fee.
