Court Rejects Search Warrants for Park Won-soon's Three Mobile Phones: "Lack of Necessity for Coercive Investigation"

On the 17th, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Seoul Northern District Court dismissed the communication warrant requested for three mobile phones of former Mayor Park, stating that "there is insufficient necessity for compulsory investigation."
Earlier, on the 14th, the police applied for a communication warrant for a total of three mobile phones: one found at the place where former Mayor Park was found deceased and two others registered under his personal name.

A police official said, "Based on the call records obtained under the warrant issued at the time of disappearance, we will clarify the circumstances leading to former Mayor Park's death," adding, "We plan to investigate the other parties involved in the calls."
