◆Review of the History of Korean Taekwondo Research= A research book written to progressively and newly establish historical awareness of the origins and identity of Taekwondo. It examines various opinions and debates surrounding the origins of Taekwondo to establish the legitimacy of Taekwondo history. In particular, it objectively approaches the legitimacy and contradictions of the two perspectives of traditionalism and revisionism.
It not only chronologically examines martial arts that occurred on the Korean Peninsula from the Gojoseon period to the Joseon period, but also describes martial arts related to Taekwondo such as Taekkyeon, Ssireum, Subak, and Gwunbeop. Additionally, it organizes in chronological order how 'the characteristics, techniques, and competition rules of Taekwondo' changed from the 1950s to the 1990s in the modern era.
