Fire at Jinju Officetel and Milyang Wood Factory... 2 People Burned
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Fires broke out consecutively overnight in Jinju and Miryang, Gyeongnam, injuring two people.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 17th, a fire occurred at around 11:41 PM the previous day on the third floor of a three-story officetel in Okbong-dong, Jinju.
A resident in their 50s suffered second-degree burns on their arms and legs and is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
The fire burned about 72㎡ inside the residence, causing property damage estimated at around 20 million KRW (according to the fire department), and was extinguished within about 30 minutes.
Earlier on the same day, at 7:09 PM, a fire broke out at a lumber factory in Samrangjin-eup, Miryang, and the flames were brought under control within about 40 minutes.
A Mongolian worker A (28, male) working at the factory suffered second-degree burns on his legs and was transported to a nearby hospital; his life is not in danger.

The fire damaged about 245㎡ of the factory, causing property damage estimated at around 30 million KRW (according to the fire department), and the fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
