Sunchang County Health and Medical Center 'COVID-19' Diagnostic Testing Training
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] On the 16th, Jeonbuk Sunchang-gun Health Medical Center announced that it held a specimen collection training session for 35 health medical personnel in the large conference room of the building the day before to prepare for a COVID-19 cluster infection outbreak.
According to the county, the training was prepared as a preemptive response to signs of a COVID-19 resurgence to enhance healthcare workers' self-protection and job competency.
The training was conducted by Kwon Yong-jun, a public health doctor at the county health medical center and a specialist in diagnostic laboratory medicine.
The training, which lasted about an hour, included hands-on practice of putting on and taking off personal protective equipment such as protective suits and goggles, as well as education on COVID-19 specimen collection methods.

Jung Young-gon, director of the health medical center, said, “We expect an increase in respiratory patients corresponding to the occurrence of COVID-19 confirmed cases in group facilities and the influenza epidemic during the summer season. We will do our best to strengthen the county’s quarantine system by establishing a preemptive response system for health medical personnel.”
