Baemin-CESCO Join Hands to Create Clean Restaurants
'Cleanliness King Project Season 6'... Hygiene Management Training for Ingredients, Kitchen, and Delivery Food
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Baedal Minjok is partnering with comprehensive hygiene company CESCO to launch kitchen cleanliness activities for delivery restaurants. Woowa Brothers (CEO Kim Beom-jun) announced on the 16th that they will conduct the food safety campaign 'Cleanliness King Project Season 6' together with CESCO to mark the season when hygiene management becomes increasingly important.
The 'Cleanliness King Project' is a campaign that Baedal Minjok (Baemin) has been running since 2015 to help delivery restaurants manage ingredients and prepare food in a clean kitchen environment. Until now, this campaign was held only through offline education, but this year, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), it will be conducted mainly through online education and events.
First, a quiz event will be held to promote hygiene rules for restaurants to prevent COVID-19. Participants can join by watching a video containing space hygiene tips such as providing hand sanitizer and ventilating the store, and then answering a true or false quiz. Among the participants, 1,000 people will receive a 'Cleanliness King Solution Set' containing hand sanitizer and disinfectants. The event period is until the 11th of next month, and anyone can participate on the Baemin Academy website.
Offline education will also be held for small groups in accordance with social distancing guidelines. In the offline education, CESCO's food safety experts will be invited to teach how to keep ingredients fresh during the summer, tips for maintaining cleanliness in stores and kitchens, and hygiene management know-how for delivery food. Additionally, cases where thorough store hygiene management led to increased sales will be introduced. Self-employed individuals who wish to attend can apply on the Baemin Academy website. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the number of attendees is limited to 30. Self-employed individuals or prospective self-employed who cannot participate in offline education can share the class content online. Baemin and CESCO plan to release four videos sharing restaurant hygiene management know-how.
