Andong-si, Gyeongbuk, Recruiting 800 Participants for 'Hope Job Project'
Applications Accepted at Local Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers Until the 28th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Andong City, Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 16th that it will provide public jobs to 800 employment-vulnerable individuals who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The target projects include 38 initiatives such as life quarantine support, rural economic activity support, public rest area improvement, cultural and artistic environment enhancement, and emergency public work support.
Applicants can apply at the administrative welfare centers of their resident registration address's eup, myeon, or dong by the 28th. Applicants must be at least 18 years old as of the project start date, have a household income at or below 65% of the median income, and assets of 200 million KRW or less to be eligible.
The project participation period is a total of 4 months from August to December. Working conditions are 20 to 40 hours per week. The wage is 8,590 KRW per hour, and an additional allowance of 5,000 KRW is paid separately for actual working days.

An Andong City official stated, "We hope this project will serve as a stepping stone to stabilize the livelihoods of vulnerable groups facing crises such as unemployment due to the prolonged COVID-19 economic downturn and will revitalize the local economy."
