CJ Logistics USA Selected as 'Green Supply Chain Partner' by Logistics Trade Journal
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] CJ Logistics announced on the 15th that its integrated US subsidiary, CJ Logistics America, has been selected as a '2020 Green Supply Chain Partner' by the local logistics magazine Inbound Logistics.
According to CJ Logistics, Inbound Logistics selects 75 companies each year as Green Supply Chain Partners for their efforts to practice green logistics. This year's list was evaluated based on four criteria: measurable green performance, sustainable innovation, continuous improvement, and industry recognition. The selected companies include many global logistics firms such as DHL, UPS, and Fedex.
CJ Logistics America explained that it practices green logistics by measuring and managing usage in five categories?electricity, gas, water, natural gas, and recycling?across more than 40 business sites nationwide.

CJ Logistics stated, "As global environmental issues emerge, customer demand for eco-friendly logistics services is increasing," adding, "We will strive to lead clean logistics by improving efficiency through the use of cutting-edge logistics systems based on the TES Logistics Technology Research Institute and by proactively introducing electric and hydrogen cargo vehicles."
