It also stated that it has already submitted evidence to the National Assembly disproving reports that Lee's child attended a Swiss school with tuition fees amounting to $25,000.
On this day, Ministry of Unification spokesperson Yeo Sang-gi explained at a regular briefing, "Since the request for document submission concerning the nominee was confirmed at the full meeting of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee yesterday, we plan to submit response materials starting today," adding, "First, regarding some media reports claiming that the nominee's child attended a Swiss school with annual expenses of $25,000, we have submitted evidence proving that such claims are clearly not true."
In particular, it was clarified that the nominee's child's tuition was approximately 12 million KRW. The Ministry of Unification initially submitted the tuition bill and remittance details to the National Assembly. Spokesperson Yeo stated, "According to the degree exchange agreement, (the nominee's child) attended the school for one year, and the total tuition paid over two semesters in Switzerland was 10,220 Swiss francs, which was about 12 million KRW at the time."

The spokesperson also expressed regret over the distortion of facts. Yeo said, "If one simply checks the school's internet homepage, it can be sufficiently confirmed that the tuition is not $25,000 per year but 10,000 Swiss francs per year, or 5,000 Swiss francs per semester. We express regret over the maliciously distorted reporting despite this."
