Democratic Party's Jo Jung-sik: "101 Trillion Won Invested in 10 New Deal Tasks, Largest Future Project Since Foundation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] On the 14th, Cho Jung-sik, Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated at the Korea New Deal National Report Conference, "We will promote 10 representative projects as signature initiatives that make the New Deal truly a New Deal," adding, "We will invest 101 trillion won by 2025 to create 1.11 million jobs. This is the largest future project since the founding of the nation."
Regarding the Digital New Deal, he introduced the Data Dam project, which builds a foundation for collecting, processing, and utilizing data for transactions. Chairman Cho explained, "It is like storing water in a large dam to be used in various ways."

He also mentioned plans to build a nationwide 5G highway network and expand convergence with artificial intelligence (AI). Chairman Cho said, "By 2015, we will invest 18 trillion won in 5G to create 390,000 jobs and increase the 5G penetration rate to 70%."
