View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Hyundai Kia Motors is collaborating with domestic IT-based logistics startups such as Mesh Korea and LogiSpot to develop smart logistics solutions. Hyundai Kia aims to complete the solution development within this year and apply it to client companies.
On the 14th, Hyundai Kia Motors announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of smart logistics solutions based on a mobility platform on the 13th at ZERO1NE, an open innovation platform located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Attendees at the signing ceremony included Kwon Oh-ryung, Executive Director of Hyundai Kia Motors Mobility Platform Business Division, Yoo Jung-beom, CEO of Mesh Korea, and Park Jae-yong, Co-CEO of LogiSpot, among other officials.
This MOU was signed to jointly develop smart logistics solutions between Hyundai Kia Motors, which is promoting a platform business based on vehicle data, and logistics companies seeking to enhance their solutions using vehicle data. Mesh Korea and LogiSpot are startups leading logistics innovation by utilizing advanced IT technologies, providing various types of transportation and management solutions.
Through this MOU, Hyundai Kia Motors, Mesh Korea, and LogiSpot will establish a collaborative system for the smart logistics business in earnest. Specifically, Hyundai Kia Motors will collect and provide vehicle operation data, status data, and special vehicle data based on its self-developed connected devices and commercial mobility platform capabilities. Mesh Korea and LogiSpot plan to use the data provided by Hyundai Kia Motors to advance their logistics solutions and offer the improved solutions and services to the end customers, including transportation companies and cargo owners.
