The city stated that the use of unmanned civil service issuance machines for non-face-to-face services has increased by about three times compared to the previous year due to COVID-19.
This is attributed to the increase in issuance of certificates required for practicing social distancing, proxy purchase of public masks, applications for disaster relief funds, and small business support projects.
The city operates 10 unmanned civil service issuance machines at 9 locations including City Hall, Geumho-eup, Dongbu-dong, the Tax Office, and Yeongcheon Station.
A total of 86 types of civil documents such as resident registration certificates, family relation certificates, land registers, agricultural support documents, national tax certificates, and educational certificates can be issued at prices 50% cheaper than visiting government offices directly.
In particular, the outdoor booth at City Hall operates 24 hours a day, year-round, allowing citizens to use it more conveniently.
