United Future Party: "Victims Have Suffered for 4 Years... Democratic Party Must Not Remain Silent"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Regarding the former secretary who accused the late Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon of sexual harassment and appealed that she "suffered for four years," the United Future Party pointed out that "the Democratic Party of Korea must protect the victim."
Kim Eun-hye, spokesperson for the United Future Party, said in a statement on the 13th, "There may be discomfort in mentioning the allegations against the deceased himself. However, please do not remain silent. Do not hide behind the judicial process of 'no prosecution,'" she said.
Spokesperson Kim said, "Today, there was an appeal from the victim who said she suffered for the past four years from the deceased," and pointed out, "If true, this is the 'sexual harassment by power' that the Democratic Party has harshly criticized."
She continued, "Recognize that your silence will conceal the truth of the pain the victim endured and block the only way to heal the wounds," adding, "Please reveal the truth and prevent possible secondary harm that may follow."
Spokesperson Kim questioned, "The people the Democratic Party should stand with are not your side but the victim," and asked, "Aren't you the ones who have strongly advocated for gender sensitivity and victim-centeredness?"
