However, it has not yet been established whether the improvement was directly caused by Remdesivir administration.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 11th that Remdesivir, specially imported as a COVID-19 treatment, has been supplied to 42 severe patients across 23 hospitals.
The headquarters explained that out of the total 42 patients who received Remdesivir, the recent status of 27 patients was confirmed, among whom 9 showed improvement.

Kwon Jun-wook, Deputy Director of the Central Disease Control Headquarters, stated, "Among the 42 patients administered the drug, looking at the severity changes of 27 patients, 15 showed no change in condition, 9 cases showed improvement, and about 3 cases worsened. It is unclear whether the improvement is due to the drug itself, other symptomatic treatments, or the patients' immune response."
