Jangseong-gun Temporarily Closes Jangseongho Waterfront Trail and Pyeongnim Dam Theme Park
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that starting from the 11th, in order to block the spread of COVID-19, the Pyeongnim Dam Theme Park will be temporarily closed following the closure of the Jangseongho Waterfront Trail.
The Pyeongnim Dam Theme Park, located in Suok-ri, Samgye-myeon, covers an area of 64,783㎡ (19,597 pyeong) and has about 17,000 trees of 176 species planted. In particular, the rose garden, composed of 129 species of roses, is a famous spot that attracts many visitors every year during the blooming season.
The closure of the Pyeongnim Dam Theme Park will continue until the COVID-19 situation calms down.

A county official explained, “The Pyeongnim Dam Theme Park frequently receives visits from outsiders and camping and cooking activities are common, which poses a high risk of infectious disease transmission,” adding, “We decided to temporarily close it proactively to prevent the local spread of COVID-19.”
