Chairman Kim Expresses Deep Regret Over Mayor Park Won-soon's Death
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim In-ho, Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, said on the morning of the 10th regarding the death of Mayor Park Won-soon, "It is very unfortunate. I cannot contain my surprise."
Chairman Kim said in a phone call with reporters that day, "On the day I was elected chairman, Mayor Park called and said, 'Congratulations. I heard from rumors that it was difficult... Let's cooperate in Seoul city administration going forward,'" he conveyed.
Chairman Kim added that he planned to visit Mayor Park's funeral hall with Vice Chairmen Kim Ki-duk and Kim Kwang-soo that morning to pay respects.
