Dankook University Decides 10% Tuition Refund... 340,000 to 540,000 KRW Per Student
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Dankook University announced on the 9th that it will provide a 'Special Disaster Relief Scholarship' refunding 10% of tuition fees to about 21,000 enrolled students at the Jukjeon and Cheonan campuses.
The total refund amount is approximately 7.77 billion KRW, with individual student refunds ranging from a minimum of 340,000 KRW to a maximum of 540,000 KRW depending on the department. Students graduating in August will receive the 10% tuition refund directly into their bank accounts. Other enrolled students will have the refund amount deducted from their second semester tuition fees.
Dankook University stated that from May, over two months, it held eight meetings including ▲student representative meetings ▲tuition review subcommittee ▲tuition review committee, engaging in close consultations with students before deciding on the tuition refund. The funds were prepared by pooling part of the school’s budget and scholarship funds.

Previously, Konkuk University announced on the 30th of last month that it would refund 8.3% of the first semester tuition fees. Jeonbuk National University also decided on the 6th to refund 10% of tuition fees, becoming the first national university to do so.
