SPC Samlip Launches Collaboration Products with 'Ppoppae'
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] SPC Samlip announced on the 9th that it has launched six bakery products featuring the ‘Popeye’ character.
The ‘Popeye Series’ is characterized by retro package designs using the nostalgic 1960s cartoon Popeye, and is a limited summer season product containing healthy ingredients such as peas, cheese, and nuts to boost energy during the summer.
The new products include four types: ‘Sweet Peanut Ball,’ a bite-sized peanut bread coated with sugar; ‘Peanut Rolling Bread,’ a savory bread with peanuts filled with peanut butter; ‘Wandu Soboro,’ a soboro bread containing spinach extract filled with sweet pea paste; and ‘Wandu Danish,’ a sweet soboro bread filled with pea paste.

SPC Samlip’s convenience store dessert brand ‘Cafe Snow’ also launched two desserts: ‘Double Cheese Mini Cake,’ combining cream cheese and cheddar cheese flavors, and ‘Cheese Bboom Bboom Crepe,’ a soft crepe filled with cheese cream and cheese cubes. The recommended retail price ranges from 1,100 KRW to 4,500 KRW, and the products are available nationwide at supermarkets and convenience stores.
