Hanwha Q CELLS Participates in Korea's Largest Solar Energy Exhibition 'International Green Energy Expo'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoonju Hwang] Hanwha Q CELLS will participate in the 'International Green Energy Expo' held for three days from the 15th to the 17th at EXCO in Daegu Metropolitan City.
This expo, which marked its 17th edition this year, is the largest domestic solar energy exhibition with about 300 companies from 25 countries participating and 32,000 visitors in 2019.
Hanwha Q CELLS has established itself as a premium brand and has received support from customers in major global markets. This year, it ranked first in the solar energy category of the 'Life & Living Awards 2020,' which involved tens of thousands of German consumers, and was awarded the Top Brand PV by EuPD Research, a specialized solar research institute, for seven consecutive years in Europe and five consecutive years in Australia. Additionally, Hanwha Q CELLS holds the number one market share in major solar module markets such as the United States, Germany, and Japan, based on its leading position in the solar industry.
At this expo, Hanwha Q CELLS plans to showcase premium product lines verified in major solar module markets and customized solutions for the domestic market. The Hanwha Q CELLS booth will be organized around these tailored solutions, including a Premium Zone exhibiting high-output, high-efficiency products, a Floating Solar Zone displaying products specialized for the domestic market such as for water surfaces, and an Agrivoltaics Zone.
First, in the Premium Zone, the Q.PEAK DUO G9 product, which significantly increases output by applying the Q.ANTUM DUO Z technology released in May this year, and bifacial modules capable of generating power from the rear side of the solar module will be exhibited. These premium products, specialized in efficiently utilizing limited space, can maximize solar power generation revenue on the same area.
Also, products specialized for the domestic market environment, such as floating solar and agrivoltaics, will be displayed. The new floating solar product, Q.PEAK DUO Poseidon, is an eco-friendly, highly durable product specialized for high-temperature and high-humidity environments, applying internal test standards higher than the reinforced KS certification regulations, including exposure for over 3,000 hours at 85 degrees Celsius and 85% relative humidity.

Recently, agrivoltaic solar modules, which are gaining interest as a new source of income for farms, will also be exhibited as prototypes. Agrivoltaic solar modules are smaller than general modules (60-cell or 72-cell) and do not cover the entire farmland, allowing sufficient sunlight for farming and reducing the load on the solar modules to minimize impact on the fields. Along with this, personal solar power generation projects will be introduced as a stable investment method, and total services including finance, insurance, and construction necessary for the business will be promoted.
