[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] The United States Forces Korea Command announced on the 8th that three soldiers who arrived at Incheon International Airport via civilian aircraft and two soldiers who entered through Osan Air Base on the 4th aboard a U.S. government chartered plane tested positive for COVID-19.

Additionally, including two cases where soldiers tested negative upon arrival but tested positive on a second test taken just before the end of their 2-week quarantine, a total of seven individuals have been classified as additional confirmed cases. All have been transferred to isolation treatment facilities and are receiving treatment. The USFK also reported that disinfection was conducted at the quarantine facility at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek.
