Bodyfriend, Ranked 28th in South Korea Brand Value for Q2
Up 8 Ranks from 36th Place in Q2 Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Bodyfriend (CEO Park Sang-hyun) announced on the 6th that it ranked 28th with a Brand Stock Index (BSTI) score of 865.6 in the 'Top 100 Brands of Korea' evaluation for the second quarter of this year, released recently by the brand value evaluation agency Brandstock. This is a significant rise from 36th place in the same period last year.
A Bodyfriend representative explained the factors behind the increase in brand value as "the result of investing 52.8 billion KRW in research and development over the past five years through the Medical R&D Center, Technology Research Institute, and Design Research Institute, showcasing unparalleled massage technology and healthcare products."
Bodyfriend has pursued differentiation in five areas: technology, design, quality, service, and customer satisfaction. Research and development personnel, including specialists in eight fields such as orthopedics, neurology, internal medicine, and psychiatry, clinically verify the effects of massage through trials and develop new healthcare technologies. Recently, it attracted attention by launching the medical chair 'Phantom Medical,' which received medical device certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the treatment of cervical disc and stenosis.
A Brandstock representative analyzed, "Bodyfriend, as a leading healthcare brand, recorded its highest monthly sales ever in May. The spread of the 'stay-at-home' culture due to the COVID-19 pandemic and increased interest in health likely contributed to the rise in brand value."
