Chairman Shin said, "We cannot return to the world before COVID-19. World history will be divided into before and after COVID-19," and urged, "We must accelerate digital transformation in response to the COVID-19 crisis."
He continued, "Digital transformation means fundamentally changing the entire corporate culture by transforming organizations, communication methods, work processes, and business models based on digital foundations."
The meeting was held remotely via video conference due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Chairman Shin spent time reviewing the management performance of the first half of the year and sharing the management strategy for the second half with about 100 sales field managers, including heads of each channel headquarters and support teams.
Chairman Shin identified strengthening non-face-to-face sales activities using digital technology, streamlining work processes, discovering new business models such as platforms, and revitalizing online education and meetings as key tasks.
Furthermore, Chairman Shin emphasized strengthening the digital capabilities of all organizations for company-wide digital innovation. He said, "From organizational leaders, it is necessary to understand the basic concepts of digital well and consider how new digital technologies will change the insurance industry," and ordered, "We must enhance the digital work capabilities of all employees and consultants to be competitive in the digital era."
He also urged collaboration between headquarters and the field, saying, "The field should actively communicate customer needs and ideas to headquarters, and headquarters should establish customer-centered marketing policies while faithfully supporting field execution."
Chairman Shin stressed that vigilance against COVID-19 should not be relaxed and urged efforts to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19.
