Daegu, COVID-19 from Yeongi Academy Remains 'Quiet' for Second Day... Local Confirmed Cases Hold at 6,924

According to Daegu City on the 5th, with no new infections reported the previous day, the total number of confirmed cases as of midnight was 6,924. The number of recovered patients and deaths remained at 6,800 (96.9%) and 185, respectively. Currently, 32 confirmed patients are receiving treatment at five hospitals and residential treatment centers nationwide.
Previously, over two days from the 2nd to the 3rd, 10 students including high school students, repeat exam takers, and general attendees at Mogeu Academy acting school in Jung-gu, Daegu, were confirmed positive.

Daegu City and health authorities conducted diagnostic tests on about 20 people including instructors and students of the academy, and fortunately, no additional infections were confirmed. Furthermore, approximately 1,500 students and staff from four high schools where the students are enrolled?Gyeongmyeong Girls' High School, Seongseo High School, Namsan High School, and Yedam School?also tested negative.
