Orient Bio "Donates 50,000 Units of Disinfectant 'HiFlu' in Third Round"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Orient Bio announced on the 3rd that it will donate 50,000 units of the disinfectant 'Hy-Plu' worth 300 million KRW to support personal hygiene management for vulnerable groups.
This donation is the third following 35,000 units in February and 18,000 units in March. The provided disinfectants will be distributed free of charge to vulnerable groups through 42 institutions affiliated with the Seongnam City 'Home Care Elderly Welfare Association.'
Orient Bio's sterilizer 'Hy-Plu' is a vaccine-type broad-spectrum sterilizer whose safety and efficacy have been verified by the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). According to the company, this sterilizer can eliminate 99% of 141 types of bacteria and viruses and is a high-quality product with continuous sterilizing ability lasting 24 hours after a single spray.
In February, Jang Jae-jin, chairman of the Orient Group, stated, "Although we received export offers from China, we plan to supply all inventory free of charge to vulnerable groups in local communities who are anxious due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19)."
