Changwon City Holds Meeting with Architectural Society Including Amendments to Building Ordinance
On the 3rd, Changwon City in Gyeongnam held a meeting with the executives of the Changwon Regional Architects Association to promote the second year of the 7th local government administration, discuss major policy initiatives, and provide guidance on the revision of building ordinances.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 3rd that it held a meeting with the executives of the Changwon Regional Architects Association to promote the second year of the 7th local government administration, discuss major policy initiatives, and provide guidance on the revision of building ordinances.
The meeting was attended by Oh Chun-geun, president of the Changwon City Architects Association, and about 10 executives.
The city explained the progress of major architectural and landscape policy initiatives being promoted this year and the details of the building ordinance amendments.
They requested cooperation for the implementation of the Smart New Deal project, including the application of smart architectural virus and fine dust automatic blocking buildings (Well-Building), expansion of electric and hydrogen vehicle charging facilities, installation of renewable energy storage devices, and installation of disaster, accident, and crime monitoring systems.

Lee Jeong-geun, Director of Urban Policy Bureau of Changwon City, said, “We will discover policies such as deregulation and innovation plans for local architects who are struggling due to the contraction of the architectural sector caused by the prolonged COVID-19 disaster and reflect them in the city administration.”
