Korea Electric Wire Corporation announced on the 3rd that it will carry out a "Love Blood Donation Campaign." This is to participate in solving the problem of blood shortages due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and it is being conducted with the support of Hanmaeum Blood Center, affiliated with the Korea Industrial Health Association.
Blood donations were held on the 2nd at the Dangjin Cable Factory and the Connector Factory, respectively, and will continue on the 9th at the Anyang headquarters. Domestic on-site workers and employees who find it difficult to donate blood on the designated dates are encouraged to participate individually, and blood donation certificates will be collected during the campaign period.
While helping to alleviate the shortage of blood supply through blood donations, the blood donation certificates collected through the campaign will be used to support marginalized groups in local communities who have difficulty receiving medical benefits.
Korea Electric Wire Corporation emphasized that in conducting this campaign, thorough measures were taken to prevent and contain COVID-19, including pre-disinfection work, temperature checks for blood donors and related personnel, wearing masks, hand sanitization, and social distancing, strictly adhering to behavioral guidelines.
A representative of Korea Electric Wire Corporation said, "We hope that the blood donations from our employees will help save the precious lives of those in need of transfusions," and added, "Korea Electric Wire Corporation will continue to practice sharing management for marginalized groups in local communities and strive to fulfill its responsibilities as a social enterprise."
