Kaher Kazem, President of Korea GM, visited the Changwon plant on the 1st to share the current management status with executives and employees and to request their cooperation. On this day, President Kazem stated, "The prolonged and unexpected COVID-19 situation is intensifying difficulties and expanding management uncertainties."
This visit was made to inspect the investment site amid ongoing uncertainties in the domestic and international automobile industry due to COVID-19, and further to share the management status and challenges with executives and employees. President Kazem visited and inspected the construction site of the new painting plant currently being built within the Changwon plant for the production of GM's next-generation global new products. He also reaffirmed that the promised investments are proceeding without delay despite the COVID-19 situation.
President Kazem said, "The market's positive response to the new Trailblazer continues, and in the imported car market, the Colorado and Traverse are performing well," adding, "As trust in Chevrolet products and the brand is being built, I hope everyone will do their best to deliver products of excellent quality."
He continued, "Going forward, the Changwon plant must be recognized as a competitive production site within GM and secure a solid and sustainable future."
