Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Conducts 'National Safety Inspection' of Port Facilities
Safety Inspection of Aging Piers Including Nakpo Pier
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik) announced on the 1st that it will conduct a national safety inspection of a total of three port facilities, including Nakpo Wharf, an aging wharf facility within Yeosu and Gwangyang ports, until the 10th.
In this national safety inspection, the authority will operate a National Safety Inspection Team (8 university students and 2 private experts) to identify and address port hazards from the public's perspective and carry out safety inspections.
Items identified as safety hazards through the inspection will be prioritized by urgency and categorized into emergency maintenance and detailed safety diagnosis for repair and reinforcement.
The inspection results will be disclosed on the website, and continuous management will be ensured through the use of the national safety inspection management system, reflecting inspection history and follow-up measures.
