Eight Affiliated Leaders Donate Funds Using Local Gift Certificates
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] Employees of the Iksan City Sports Council in Jeonbuk are giving a quiet inspiration by pooling part of their salaries to help affiliated coaches who are struggling due to COVID-19.
According to the City Sports Council on the 1st, employees including Secretary General Joo Yoo-seon donated funds in the form of local gift certificates to eight affiliated coaches whose salaries were cut or unpaid due to COVID-19.
Recently, due to the occurrence of COVID-19 cases in the Iksan area, all sports council projects have been suspended, causing difficulties for sports coaches.
Accordingly, the sports council employees voluntarily participated in donations on the 25th, coinciding with their payday, to overcome the crisis and lend support.
Additionally, Jang-hee Jo, president of the Sports Council, and director Kyung-soo Kim donated their entire disaster relief funds of 1 million won and 800,000 won, respectively.
