Introduction of 'Automatic Dispatch' Without Ride Refusal in Kakao Model Taxi
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao Mobility announced on the 1st that it will introduce an automatic dispatch service for premium taxis.
From now on, when calling a premium taxi through the KakaoT application, an automatic dispatch system that does not display the destination will be applied. Also, the call option will only be exposed if there are available vehicles nearby.
Kakao Mobility explained, "Users can use premium taxis faster and more reliably without the risk of waiting for the driver to accept the call or failing to dispatch due to lack of vehicles."
The previous method, which required selecting 'General Call' or 'Smart Call' and then entering detailed settings to specify 'Premium Taxi,' has been changed so that users can select premium taxis directly from the start.
Taxi fares remain the same as the existing premium taxis, and the usage fee will be flexibly applied up to 2,000 won depending on real-time traffic conditions and demand concentration.
