[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] NHN officially launched the technology-specialized corporation 'NHN TOAST' on the 1st.
The newly established NHN TOAST is an integrated IT solutions company combining NHN's IT technology, know-how, and infrastructure resources. Jin Eun-sook, NHN CTO, was appointed as the inaugural CEO. NHN TOAST will serve as a control tower leading NHN's IT capabilities and will also spearhead the enhancement of IT expertise and competitiveness across the group companies.
At the briefing session for employees held on the 26th of last month, CEO Jin stated, "NHN TOAST aims to grow together by providing the IT technology and resources we possess to all small and medium-sized enterprises that have IT-based content."
NHN TOAST consists of a Technology Headquarters supporting service development and a Quality Testing Headquarters. Including new employees hired through the ongoing career recruitment in the technology sector, about 200 people are expected to work there by the end of the year.
A changed work environment and specialized HR system have been newly established to foster a developer-centered organizational culture. The 'Office Free' system, which considers developers' work efficiency, will be introduced. Office Free is based on full remote work except for 8 hours of office work per week. Additionally, working hours can be freely adjusted according to individual schedules.
