Lotte Hi-Mart to Conduct 'Mom-Peaceful Hydream' Sharing Project in July
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 30th that it will carry out the ‘Mom Comfortable Hi-Dream’ sharing project throughout July.
This project is being held for the fourth time this year, inviting stories to support home appliances that help fulfill the dreams of mothers and children. Participation is possible through the ‘Participate’ section on the Lotte CSV website. Mothers and children can submit stories containing their dreams and select the home appliances needed to achieve those dreams. Among the submitted stories, three families will be selected through screening and announced in August.
Mom Comfortable Hi-Dream is a combination of Lotte Group’s social contribution brand ‘Mom Comfortable,’ meaning ‘Let’s create a world where a mother’s heart is at ease,’ and Lotte Hi-Mart’s social contribution brand ‘Hi-Dream,’ meaning ‘Mothers and children get closer to their dreams.’ Since its inception in 2018, the sharing project has been held nine times in total. It has supported 21 families by providing home appliances such as electronic pianos for mothers dreaming of becoming jazz pianists and tablets for children aspiring to be webtoon artists.
Park Wang-geun, Head of Compliance Management at Lotte Hi-Mart, said, “We hope this sharing project becomes a stepping stone of hope for dreams that may feel somewhat distant,” adding, “We will continue to carry out social contribution activities utilizing Lotte Hi-Mart’s resources to help neighbors in local communities.”

Meanwhile, Lotte Hi-Mart has been continuously engaged in various other sharing activities. In March, it donated air purifiers worth 10 million won to 20 regional children’s centers nationwide, including Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeonggi, where demand for air purifiers surged due to increased indoor activities. The donation fund was raised by accumulating a portion of the sales amount from products purchased by customers on the Lotte Hi-Mart online shopping mall during January. In January and February, the company conducted the ‘Hi Science Classroom’ for two months, providing science principle lessons related to home appliances and hands-on appliance-making experiences for children in the community who needed care during the school vacation period.
