Subsidy Eligible... Mercedes-Benz Launches 'The New EQC 400 4MATIC Premium'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 30th that it will officially launch the ‘The New EQC 400 4MATIC Premium’ model.
The New EQC is the first pure electric vehicle under Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle and related technology brand EQ. In Korea, it was first introduced last October as The New EQC 400 4MATIC and The New EQC 400 4MATIC edition 1886 models.
The newly released The New EQC 400 4MATIC Premium enhances convenience by adding a head-up display and ventilated seats, and boasts a more luxurious interior with leather seats applied. In addition, it is equipped with the Burmester Surround Sound System, co-developed with the high-end audio specialist brand Burmester, allowing passengers to enjoy entertainment with concert hall-like sound quality inside the car.
The New EQC demonstrates Mercedes-Benz’s unique ‘Electric Intelligence’ by combining a powerful yet efficient pure electric drivetrain, dynamic driving performance, distinctive design, the latest Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems, and digital connectivity. In particular, the latest Mercedes-Benz infotainment system MBUX installed in The New EQC includes electric vehicle-specific features such as checking charging status and energy flow.
The price of The New EQC is 95.5 million KRW including VAT for the EQC 400 4MATIC, and 101.4 million KRW for the EQC 400 4MATIC edition 1886 and EQC 400 4MATIC Premium.

Meanwhile, The New EQC is included in the government’s low-emission vehicle purchase subsidy program, reducing the customer’s financial burden. The national subsidy for The New EQC is set at 6.3 million KRW, and additional subsidies from local governments can be received depending on the vehicle registration area. For example, if the EQC 400 4MATIC is registered in Seoul, customers can receive a national subsidy of 6.3 million KRW and a Seoul city subsidy of 4.5 million KRW, allowing ownership of the EQC 400 4MATIC for 84.7 million KRW.
