Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance Donates 300 Million KRW to Support Treatment Costs for Patients with Severe Illnesses
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance announced on the 30th that it donated 100 million KRW each to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation, the Korea Heart Foundation, and the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation to support medical expenses for patients with severe illnesses from financially disadvantaged families.
Since 2008, Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance has been accumulating employee salary donations through a matching grant system and donating to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation and the Korea Heart Foundation at the end of each year.
Up to last year, surgery expenses were supported for more than 260 patients, and through this donation, an additional 56 patients are expected to receive support.

A Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance official stated, "We plan to continue supporting employee salary contributions and company donations at the end of this year to assist low-income patients with severe illnesses' surgery expenses," and added, "We will do our best to expand the Meritz Worry Resolution Project to help neighbors in need within the local community."
