Uber Taxi to Implement App Payment System
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Uber announced on the 29th that it will apply an application (app) payment system to its Uber Taxi service.
The app payment system, which was previously installed only on Uber Black, will be expanded to all Uber Taxis. Uber Taxi users can check the estimated fare before boarding and pay the fare using only the card registered in the app.
Uber explained, "With heightened awareness of safety due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), payments are made contactlessly through the app payment system, allowing passengers to use Uber Taxi with peace of mind."
To use the app payment system, domestic issued card registration is required in the Uber app. Access the Uber app, press the menu button at the top left of the screen, and select Payment (Wallet). Under payment methods, press the 'Add Payment Method' button, select the 'Credit Card or Debit Card' button, and enter the card information to complete the registration process.
