Hankook Tire Selected as GM's 'Supplier of the Year'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hankook Tire & Technology (hereinafter Hankook Tire) announced on the 29th that it was selected as the ‘2019 GM Supplier of the Year’ at the ‘GM Supplier of the Year Awards’ hosted by GM.
The Supplier of the Year Awards, held annually since 1992, is an event where GM selects and awards outstanding suppliers worldwide who have created innovative and exceptional value among its automotive parts suppliers. The selection is made through a comprehensive evaluation covering various aspects such as quality, logistics, and supply chain.
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), this year’s ceremony was held online. In the tire category, six global tire brands including Hankook Tire, Michelin, Bridgestone, and Continental received awards, with Hankook Tire being the only domestic tire company to be honored.
