'Donkey Ears' Chicken Businessman An Jung-hwan Offers Advice to Hyun Joo-yeop on Startup Concerns
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jeong-ho] Former national soccer player Ahn Jung-hwan gave advice on entrepreneurship to former basketball coach Hyun Joo-yeop.
On the afternoon of the 28th, KBS 2TV's 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears' aired an episode where Hyun Joo-yeop met Ahn Jung-hwan and shared his concerns about starting a food business.
That day, Ahn Jung-hwan told Hyun Joo-yeop, "If you want to start a food business, you need to have your own signature, like a special sauce," emphasizing the need for an original menu.
Ahn Jung-hwan is currently running a chicken business. He is active as the brand model for a chicken brand called 'Chicken Player.'
After tasting Chef Song Hoon's meat, Hyun Joo-yeop said, "It's very tender," and added, "I only thought about beef, but I should consider pork as well," expressing admiration.
As a senior entrepreneur, Ahn Jung-hwan advised, "Beef can be less accessible due to its cost. Pork is cheaper, and if the quality is this good, people will look for it."
Additionally, Chef Song Hoon suggested, "How about opening a branch of my meat restaurant separately?" However, Hyun Joo-yeop did not readily accept the proposal, saying, "I want to try it a few more times."
Later, in an interview with the production team, Hyun Joo-yeop showed his conflicted feelings, saying, "I only thought about beef, but I definitely need to consider pork as well. I also thought of galbitang and galbijjim. I can't help but have many thoughts."
