View original imageOn the 27th (local time), the international statistics site Worldometer announced that the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases reached 10,052,333. The death toll reached 500,162.
On that day, the newly reported confirmed cases worldwide were 153,786, and 4,083 people were recorded as having died.
By country, the United States, known to have the highest number of confirmed cases in the world, reported 36,026 new confirmed cases that day, bringing the cumulative total to 2,588,982. Brazil followed with 33,613 new confirmed cases, totaling 1,313,667 confirmed infections.
Next were Russia with 627,646 cases, India with 529,577, the United Kingdom with 310,250, and Spain with 295,549.
South Korea reported 51 new confirmed cases, bringing the cumulative total to 12,653 COVID-19 confirmed cases. The death toll was 282.
