Gasoline Prices Rise for 5 Consecutive Weeks... Nationwide Average 1,346.3 Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Nationwide gasoline prices have risen for five consecutive weeks.
According to the Korea National Oil Corporation's oil price information service OPINET on the 27th, the weekly gasoline sales price at gas stations nationwide in the fourth week of June increased by 16.3 KRW per liter from the previous week to 1,346.3 KRW.
The cheapest gas stations, known as Altteul gas stations, also saw gasoline prices rise by 18.2 KRW to 1,305.6 KRW, while the highest-priced gas stations, SK Energy, recorded a gasoline price increase of 15.3 KRW to 1,355.5 KRW.
By region, gasoline prices at Seoul gas stations rose by 11.8 KRW to 1,439.5 KRW, making it the most expensive. The Daegu area was the cheapest, with prices rising 20.2 KRW to 1,323.3 KRW.
Diesel prices at gas stations nationwide increased by 15.4 KRW to 1,149.8 KRW.

The Korea National Oil Corporation explained, "International oil prices rose due to improvements in major U.S. economic indicators," adding, "However, increases in U.S. crude oil inventories limited the extent of the rise."
