View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] The largest pet expo in Korea, ‘2020 K-Pet Fair SETEC,’ will be held at SETEC near Hakyeoul Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, until the 28th. This exhibition, featuring 184 companies producing and selling pet-related products, offers 293 booths where visitors can view and purchase small pet appliances, pet food, snacks, water play products, clothing, and more.
This exhibition includes many health care brands participating to help replenish the energy of pets vulnerable to the summer heat. Pet Trust’s ‘Rom Health’ will introduce a natural supplement for the first time at this exhibition. Probiotic products that protect pets’ intestinal health and boost immunity, such as F&CBio’s ‘Easygut,’ Velvet’s ‘WelCare,’ and Pepetail’s ‘Cham Probiotics,’ will also be available for sale.
Products that prevent pests during summer walks can also be found. Spray-type products containing natural essential oils (Ainsop, Frankit) can be sprayed directly on pets to prevent ticks and fleas. There are also accessory-type products that can be easily attached to harnesses or collars. ‘Tickless Mini’ emits ultrasound audible only to pests to keep them away.
Additionally, pet-exclusive ice cream, water play products, dog cool mats, and vests will be exhibited and sold.
The K-Pet Fair Secretariat is launching the ‘JjooJjooJjoo’ application and conducting beta testing. JjooJjooJjoo is a membership-based pet O2O service that offers coupons and event benefits usable at the exhibition. Visitors can check and apply for exhibition promotions in advance through the app. This convenience eliminates the need to queue at the venue for event participation, providing a differentiated exhibition experience for both participating companies and visitors.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the K-Pet Fair Secretariat is thoroughly implementing measures including mandatory temperature checks for entrants, compulsory mask-wearing for all visitors, distribution of disposable gloves and provision of hand sanitizers, and maximizing ventilation through air conditioning systems. For the safety of pets, companion entry is restricted throughout the event.
