Police Conduct Search and Seizure at the Home and Office of Park Sang-hak, Head of the Free Joseon Movement, over 'Anti-North Korea Leaflet Distribution'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The police have launched a sudden search and seizure operation at the home and office of Park Sang-hak, the head of the Free North Korea Movement Alliance, who has been involved in distributing leaflets to North Korea.
According to the police on the 26th, the Security Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency sent investigators to Park's home and office located in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to conduct a search and seizure operation in the morning. As of 8:30 a.m. that day, it was reported that the warrant had not yet been executed.
The police reportedly obtained a search warrant to secure materials to verify whether there were any legal violations related to Park's leaflet distribution activities targeting North Korea.

The Free North Korea Movement Alliance conducted a surprise leaflet distribution in Paju-si, Gyeonggi Province, late in the afternoon on the 22nd of this month. The leaflets were found in Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province, and the police are currently verifying the facts.
