Gyeongju City, Gyeongbuk Completes Public Parking Lot Near City Hall ... Accommodates 280 Vehicles
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, completed a public parking lot with a capacity of 280 vehicles near the health center on the 25th to alleviate parking difficulties in Dongcheon-dong and held a completion ceremony.
The completion ceremony was held with a minimal number of participants, including Gyeongju Mayor Ju Nak-young, City Council Chairman Yoon Byung-gil, Provincial Assemblyman Park Cha-yang, Gyeongju City Council members, and heads of autonomous organizations, to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). This project, which began in April last year, involved a total investment of 5.3 billion KRW, including 2.55 billion KRW in national funds and 2.75 billion KRW in city funds.
The Dongcheon-dong public parking lot has a total floor area of 5,437㎡ and can accommodate a total of 280 vehicles, including a three-story parking tower with 240 spaces and an outdoor parking lot with 40 spaces. The Gyeongju City Facilities Management Corporation will operate the parking lot, offering free service during the pilot operation period and planning to start paid operation in July.
