Jin Joong-kwon "Unification Minister Im Jong-seok? Not bad but will have many explanations"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Joo-hee] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon speculated on the 25th that regarding former Blue House Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok being mentioned as a candidate for Minister of Unification, "It's not bad, but there are things to clarify, so it will be difficult for him to come out as an appointed official."
On the same day, Jin wrote on his Facebook, "Personally, I don't think it would be bad for Im Jong-seok to serve as Minister of Unification," but added, "However, he tried to run for the Jongno district but ultimately did not. If he can't even run in an elected position, it will probably be difficult for him to come out as an appointed official."
He continued, "Because you never know what might come up during the confirmation hearing. Besides the election interference issue, there are probably some things he needs to clarify."
He also said, "The investigation into interference in the Ulsan mayoral election has led to the indictment of all the aides, leaving only this person, the head of the group," and added, "Since Chu Mi-ae cut off all the prosecutor general's hands and feet, I am curious because there have been no follow-up reports on how they plan to handle him even more than a month after the election ended."
In a subsequent post, former professor Jin pointed out, "Right after the Moon Jae-in administration took power, they proudly created the 'Five Major Criteria for Public Office Appointments,'" and said, "The problem was that there was not a single person in that camp who met those criteria."

He continued, "So they relaxed the criteria here and there and created seven criteria, but no matter how loose the standards were, they couldn't find anyone, so they eventually gave up on the 'criteria' itself," and criticized, "The first case was Cho Kuk, and the second case was Yoon Mee-hyang."
