Turkey Sees Increase in New COVID-19 Cases to 1,200 Range
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] The number of new COVID-19 cases in Turkey has risen again to the 1,200 range.
On the 23rd (local time), the Turkish Ministry of Health announced that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country increased by 1,212 from the previous day to 188,897. The cumulative death toll rose by 24 to 4,974.
Turkey had seen new cases drop to the 1,100 range for the first time in nine days the day before, but the number rose back to the 1,200 range in just one day.
Fahrettin Koca, Turkey's Minister of Health, stated on Twitter, "In the past 24 hours, 41,413 COVID-19 tests were conducted, bringing the total number of tests to 2,986,653."

He added, "846 patients are receiving intensive care in the ICU, and 161,533 have recovered."
