Yeosu-si Gaetnoeul Volunteer Team Holds Crop Harvesting and Sharing Event
On the 20th, about 30 members harvested potatoes in the unused land of Deokyang 4-ri Naegimaeul
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Getnoeul Volunteer Team (Team Leader Park Hong-sang) in Sora-myeon, Yeosu City, harvested potatoes planted in March at an idle land in Naegi Village, Deokyang 4-ri, on the 20th.
On this day, about 30 members of the Getnoeul Volunteer Team participated and harvested 10kg of potatoes, totaling 100 boxes, generating sales revenue of approximately 1.2 million won. The proceeds will be donated to the village senior center and low-income groups.
Park Hong-sang, the volunteer team leader, said, "I hope this will be of some help to neighbors struggling due to COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to promote sharing events for neighbors in need."

Meanwhile, the Getnoeul Volunteer Team harvested 100 boxes (10kg each) of potatoes and 100 boxes (10kg each) of sweet potatoes grown in the sharing garden in June and November last year, delivering them to 49 senior centers in the district and low-income groups, with some proceeds saved as donations for helping underprivileged neighbors.
